This approval process can take up to forty years, and each OE tyre has to pass around 100 tyre tests.

Continentals Black Chili compound is exclusively manufactured at their factory in Korbach, Germany, combining the very latest polymers with specially developed carbon black particles and filler materials. Both cars and bikes benefit from this technology. Fitted to a bicycle, tyres with Black Chili give you supreme confidence whether you’re tumbling downhill on a mountain bike or time-trialling on a road bike. Fitted to a car, you can expect maximum grip during acceleration, cornering and braking on wet or dry roads.
Continental Green Chili 2.0 is an advanced compound in Continentals EcoContact 6 tyre, engineered to lower rolling resistance, reduce heat, and adapt to road surfaces, resulting in better fuel efficiency, lower CO2 emissions, and extended tire life (enhanced mileage) by minimising rubber wear.
ContiSilent is a noise reducing tyre technology by Continental that uses a polyurethane foam absorber on the inner surface of the tyres tread to significantly lower road noise inside the vehicle, reducing annoying vibrations and making for a quieter more comfortable ride by dampening tyre generated noise.
